| Tour Schedule |  The Yoro Railway is a local railway linking Gifu and Mie prefectures and has a history of more than 100 years. IThe train will take you on an hour and ten minute scenic ride through the rural landscape of Gifu and will end at Ogaki city, known for its abundant fresh water springs and high-quality Japanese sake. You will then stroll the pretty streets of Ogaki together with your guide and will visit a sake brewery and the biggest factory for producing wooden masu cups traditionally used to drink sake. Riding the special sightseeing Sake Masu Train is a wonderful opportunities for all lovers of local railways and rural Japanese scenery. Sake fans will be delighted to taste several different local brands and even fruit liquor! The use of Ogaki's most famous product - the wooden masu cup - will add new layers of flavor and aroma to the sake. Please enjoy drinking sake using the wooden Masu, a speciality of Ogaki City, Gifu Prefecture<, which you will receive when you participate this tour. Enjoy the scenic views from the window and the entertaining explanations of your guide. ・ An hour and ten minutes later, arrive at Ogaki and begin a walking tour of the city ・Visit Takeuchi Sake Brewery and enjoy a tour of its premises ending with tasting of localy brewed sake and liquor ・ Visit Ohashi Ryoki, one of the biggest manufacturers of wooden make cups in Japan and try your hands at making your own masu cup ・Return to Ogaki Station where the tour ends |
| Remarks | ・This is a private tour specially for your group. However, only one train carriage will be designed for the lunch ride experience. The other carriages will board regular passengers and the train will stop at every station between Kuwana and Ogaki. However, you cannot get off until Ogaki. ・Please observe strictly the meeting time (12:15) at Kuwana Station. The train will depart according to the timetable and will not wait for late guests. ・There is no lavatory on the train. ・If you have food allergies or restrictions, or if you need special assistance, please inform at least 7 days prior to the tour. ・The sightseeing spots in the itinerary in Ogaki city are located within 10-15-minute walk from each other. If you would like a taxi instead, please pay for it on the day. ・Only some parts of the sake brewery are open for visitors. ・You will receive as a present any leftover sake from the train ride (2 small-size bottles) and the masu cup. You will also receive the masu cup you make yourself at the masu factory. You can temporary leave your luggage and received presents at Ogaki Station before you being the walking tour of the city.
